Responsible Textile Sourcing Policy

Applicable to all suppliers, subcontractors, mills, factories, and service providers producing goods for our company.

Supplier Code of Conduct

 

At Grosskord FZE, we are committed to responsible sourcing and ethical business practices across our supply chain.

 

This Supplier Code of Conduct defines the minimum standards we expect from all manufacturing partners and suppliers.

 

All suppliers are required to comply with applicable local laws and regulations, as well as the principles outlined below.

 

 

1. Legal Compliance

 

Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate.

 

Where this Code sets higher standards than local law, suppliers are expected to meet these standards.

 

 

2. Prohibition of Child Labour

 

Suppliers must not employ workers below the legal minimum working age.

 

No person under the age of 18 shall be employed in hazardous or unsafe work.

 

 

3. Prohibition of Forced Labour

 

All forms of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour are strictly prohibited.

 

Workers must be employed voluntarily and must be free to leave their employment with reasonable notice.

 

Retention of identity documents or deposits is not permitted.

 

 

4. Working Hours

 

Working hours must comply with applicable local laws.

 

Overtime must be voluntary and compensated in accordance with legal requirements.

 

Suppliers should ensure that working hours do not exceed levels that could compromise workers’ health and safety.

 

 

5. Wages and Benefits

 

Workers must be compensated in accordance with applicable wage laws, including minimum wage, overtime compensation, and legally mandated benefits.

 

Wages should be paid regularly and transparently.

 

 

6. Health and Safety

 

Suppliers must provide a safe and hygienic working environment.

 

This includes:

 

  • adequate workplace safety measures

  • access to clean drinking water and sanitation

  • appropriate fire safety and emergency procedures

  • necessary protective equipment

 

 

7. Non-Discrimination and Respect

 

Suppliers must ensure equal treatment of all workers.

 

Discrimination based on gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, or other personal characteristics is not permitted.

 

All workers must be treated with dignity and respect. Harassment or abuse of any kind is strictly prohibited.

 

 

8. Environmental Responsibility

 

Suppliers are expected to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.

 

This includes:

 

  • compliance with environmental laws and regulations

  • responsible handling of chemicals and waste

  • efforts to reduce environmental impact where possible

 

 

9. Business Integrity

 

Suppliers must conduct business with integrity.

 

Any form of bribery, corruption, or unethical business practice is strictly prohibited.

 

 

10. Subcontracting

 

Unauthorised subcontracting is not permitted.

 

Suppliers must not subcontract production without prior written approval from Grosskord FZE.

 

 

11. Monitoring and Compliance

 

Grosskord FZE reserves the right to monitor compliance with this Code.

 

This may include:

 

  • factory visits

  • audits and assessments

  • supplier self-assessments

 

Suppliers are expected to cooperate fully and provide accurate information.

 

 

12. Continuous Improvement

 

Suppliers are expected to continuously improve their operations and compliance standards.

 

Where gaps are identified, suppliers should take corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe.

 

 

13. Acceptance

 

By working with Grosskord FZE, suppliers acknowledge and agree to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct.
